Are we still drinking contaminated water?

Currently, most of Arden-Cordova's winter-time water comes from surpluses on
the American River, so the underground contamination is largely irrelevant.

During the high demands of summer lawn watering, the partially contaminated
wells are turned on one by one, with the most contaminated wells being
reserved for last.

Aerojet has agreed to replace any well containing 4 ppb perchlorate, 3.3 ppb TCE,
or 5 ppt NDMA, so the contamination should never exceed those levels for more
than a couple months.

The worst water quality is generally experienced in early fall, before the American River water becomes available again in November.
