Can the aquifer be cleaned and all the contaminants removed?

The official EPA estimates is that it will take a couple of centuries to
clean up the entire Aerojet site, but that assumes none of the inevitable
improvements in cleanup technology. Suffice it to say there is a huge
economic incentive for Aerojet to clean up that water so that it can be put
to use developing their property. The challenge is to insure that the
treated water is totally clean and safe to consume.
